Through Ebbs and Flows

What is it about being near the ocean that almost demands onlookers to slow down and look?

Not to glance, but to deeply slow down to truly look and see it.

Energy

You can feel the power, the energy, and the force just emanating from the source.

The ocean is awe- inspiring. The shoreline, on the other hand, demands less attention while maintaining it’s astonishing gaze. Seemingly immutable against the constant pressure and intensity of the waves, the tides, and the currents. We know that over long periods of time the shoreline, rocky coasts, cliffs, and caves are formed by water. By the consistent and repetitive pressure being placed on it every single day. While an onlooker does not see these changes happening during a singular stop, they are happening right in front of us.

Connection

There is a connection between the human experience and the ocean that seems irrefutable when captivated within the company of the ocean’s energy. The tides ebb and flow while the rhythmic nature is mirroring that of our own lives. Relationships, hobbies, goals, jobs, projects, even preferences all ebb and flow through our lives daily. Sometimes we are more prepared for these changes, and sometimes, no matter how prepared we feel, it knocks us down like an unbecoming wave.

Will this next wave be one that I can easily dive through and calmly exit on the safe side, or will it be one to push me down and require more of a fight to get through?

Thankfully, those east coast waves that once looked impossible to pass through with my younger eyes, have become more manageable through my adult eyes with improved perspective (especially compared to those Pacific waves!) increased awareness, and more skills and tools available to me after years of practice.

Resilience

When the ebbs and flows of life come in strongly, I am reminded that the human experience is similar to that of the shoreline. When life flows smoothly, or waves are crashing down all around us, we are changing alongside the power of the ocean. It may be so minor that no-one would notice, or, the entire bend of the coastline may be different from the year prior. Resilient and malleable. Our beautiful brains hold currents, just like the ocean, and are capable of adjusting, making new connections, and protecting you from real, or imagined waves.

Strength

Sometimes, our shorelines need support like the coastal resilience projects working to recover and renew coastlines. You are deserving of support that helps make the relentless nature of this life more manageable. You are far from immutable! We have resiliency technology, techniques, and tools to help support the majestic human brain, while simultaneously growing, changing, and adapting what we have to be as accommodating, supportive, and effective as possible!

Please know that you are valuable and worthy of support.
